Project description

FAME develops and validates methods and tools to promote the exchange of best practices and experiences of Cooperative, Connected and Automated Mobility (CCAM).  This facilitates the collaboration of CCAM stakeholders across the complex cross-sectoral value chain necessary for the evaluation of large-scale demonstration projects and impacts of full CCAM solutions.

Project description

The goal of the EU-funded project Hi-Drive is to tackle the challenges toward the deployment of higher automation. It focuses on making driving automation robust and reliable by taking intelligent vehicle technologies to conditions and scenarios neither extensively tested nor demonstrated earlier in European and overseas traffic.
The project gathers 40 partners from all over Europe including 13 OEMs. Lead by Volkswagen, the project will run for 48 months with a budget of more than 60 million Euros.

Project description

The project "Ready for Smart City Robots?" aims to generate cost-effective, open digital maps for the planning and operation of autonomously operating micromobiles. Project description

The Mobility and Fuel Strategy examines which measures are necessary in the transport sector for the various modes of transport in order to fullfil the climate and energy policy goals. The "Scientific Monitoring of the Mobility and Fuel Strategy" conducts basic, topic-oriented studies for this purpose and responds to daily requests from the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport.

The aim of the FeGiS+ research project was to identify risks and potential dangers in road traffic at an early stage and to avoid traffic accidents through timely warnings or preventive measures. Project description

A new Federal Transport Infrastructure Plan (BVWP 2030) was drawn up at the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure. For this purpose, the entire assessment methodology of the 2003 Federal Transport Infrastructure Plan was subjected to a fundamental review for all modes of transport. The update project elaborates "lessons learned" and reacts to methodological developments since the completion of the BVWP.
